Wide receiver Marvin Harrison is the top non-quarterback prospect in the 2024 NFL Draft and arguably the top overall prospect too. So it should be no big shock that he’s getting one of the biggest endorsement deals of the upcoming draft class.
According to Eleven Warriors, the former Ohio State wideout has signed a multi-year endorsement deal with the New Balance apparel company.
Speaking to Andscape, New Balance executive Naveen Lokesh said that Harrison was seen as a “perfect fit” for the company from the very first conversation. Lokesh praised Harrison for his “drive, passion and incredible work ethic” and believes that he can help “push the boundaries” of athletes in the next generation.
“From the first conversation with Marvin, it was clear that he was a perfect fit for us at New Balance,” Lokesh said. “Marvin’s drive, passion and incredible work ethic speak to the person that he is on and off the field. His dedication to everything he does will help us launch New Balance into the American Football category and push the boundaries of what athletes can do to inspire the next generation. We are excited to start this journey together and co-author our legacy in sport culture.”
Harrison shared a statement of his own, declaring that he shares the values of New Balance and that he hopes to inspire young athletes.
“The values that New Balance and I share have aligned,” Harrison said. “Most importantly, the brand will allow me to have an impact on the community and the younger generation. I want to inspire young athletes to be great in their own way.”
Harrison has been regarded as a generational prospect at wide receiver and perhaps the best that’s come out of college in years.
With the way the league has moved towards offense, Harrison should be able to prove everyone right about him regardless of how good or bad the quarterback situation at his first NFL team is.
And with the way things are trending, Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals would be a pretty solid landing spot.
