It’s been just a few weeks since 2024’s top prospect Jeremiah Smith signed for Ohio State. He’s performing at the All-American Bowl today and quickly proving that the hype is well-deserved.
During the game, Smith had the first touchdown of the day – easily getting past four-star cornerback Zabien Brown (an Alabama commit) for a touchdown. Charles Power of On3 noted that the play was a superb demonstration of Smith’s route-running ability and technical prowess.
“Jeremiah Smith makes an early statement, stacking Zabien Brown off the line of scrimmage for an easy TD. Smith looks to be a special talent at the position. Jeremiah Smith’s route-running ability was on display on that touchdown. He effortlessly stacked one of the more technical and polished CBs in the cycle with ease,” Power wrote.
Smith is the No. 1 overall prospect in the 2024 recruiting class, per 247Sports. He signed letter of intent to Ryan Day on the Buckeyes on December 21.

At 6-foot-3 and 214 pounds as a high school senior, Smith already has the prototypical NFL size. It probably doesn’t hurt that he’s got NFL talent in his blood as Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith is his cousin.
Will Jeremiah Smith become a superstar at Ohio State?
