Usually when a player in the transfer portal is rumored to be heading to Ohio State, Buckeyes fans are ready to embrace him with open arms. But one particular Alabama player who might be heading to Columbus has inspired a mixed reaction from fans.
Earlier today, Pete Nakos of On3 reported that Alabama center Seth McLaughlin would be taking a visit to Ohio State after entering the transfer portal this week. McLaughlin was Alabama’s starting center for the Rose Bowl Game against Michigan but struggled on several snaps that hindered the Tide’s offense.
As a result, some Ohio State fans aren’t exactly thrilled at the idea of bringing on a player who was partially responsible for a loss to Michigan – especially given their ongoing three-year losing streak against their arch-rivals.
Lost to Michigan once and thought he’d like to run it back https://t.co/ZdjGI1owcx

With a reaction like this to a mere rumor of a player being interested in joining the team, it’s pretty clear that some Ohio State fans are stressing out to an absurd degree over their recent struggles against Michigan.
Though given how this past season ended, they’re in unfamiliar territory that they haven’t experienced since the early 2010s.
Will Seth McLaughlin be a good addition to the Buckeyes, or will he pick up right where he left off in the Rose Bowl?
