Ohio State finished its 2023 season with an absolute dud, losing 14-3 to Missouri in the Cotton Bowl Classic. After the game was over, the fan base in Columbus ripped Ryan Day to shreds on social media.
Day technically has an excuse for Friday’s lousy performance. His starting quarterback, Devin Brown, left the game in the first half with an ankle sprain. However, fans don’t want to hear it.
Most of them believe it’s time for the Buckeyes to start considering changes at head coach.

“OSU AD should be ‘looking at everything’ regarding changes to the coaching staff,” one fan wrote. “Lost the last 2 games of the year 3 years in a row. 1-6 record vs Michigan and the SEC. Only winning games where he has a huge talent edge. This guy ain’t it. This ain’t good enough at OSU.”

“He looked at everything last year. A great coach will find that edge that is needed in tough situations. An elite recruiter, but an average coach,” a third fan said.

The Buckeyes finished Friday’s game with just 203 yards of total offense. TreVeyon Henderson was their top performer with 72 rushing yards on 19 carries.
Ohio State’s secondary did a great job limiting Missouri quarterback Brady Cook to just 128 passing yards and a touchdown. The run defense, however, gave up over 200 yards on the ground.
Do you think Ohio State has to make serious changes this offseason?
