Class of 2023 wide receiver Bryson Rodgers announced his commitment to Ohio State.
On Sunday afternoon, the 6-foot-2, 170-pound wideout declared his decision in a Twitter post thanking his family, friends, and coaching staff at Wireglass Ranch High School.
“I have dreamed of this day and saying these words since I touched a football,” Rodgers wrote. “With all that being said, I am coming home. I am happy to announce my dream has come true and will be committing to THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY.”

While Rodgers was raised in Zephyrhills, Florida, he grew up in Warren, Ohio. In Februrary, he told Garrick Hodge of Eleven Warriors that it was “a dream come true” to receive an offer from his hometown school.
“I’m still an Ohio boy at heart,” Rodgers said. “I grew up an Ohio State fan and love watching Big Ten football. I love Ohio State considering the offense they run and the culture they have. What it means to be an Ohio State Buckeye is what I grew up on. I’ll always love ‘em, so I definitely grew up a fan.”
The three-star prospect resides 367th among 247Sports’ national class of 2023 rankings as the No. 48 wide receiver. Powerhouse programs appear to think highly of Rodgers, who also garnered scholarship offers from Auburn, Georgia, and Michigan among 24 other schools.
Rodgers became Ohio State’s eighth 2023 commit and first wide receiver in a crop led by offensive tackle Luke Montgomery and tight end Ty Lockwood. He tallied 14 receiving touchdowns during his junior year at Wiregrass Ranch.
