The Ohio State Buckeyes don’t rebuild when it comes to the wide receiver position, they just reload.
Although he hasn’t even played a single game for the Buckeyes yet, five-star wideout Jeremiah Smith is already turning heads in Columbus.
On Saturday, the official X account for Ohio State’s football team shared a video of Smith making an incredible one-handed catch at practice.
Smith, the No. 1 overall recruit from the 2024 class, has the athleticism and size to be the next great wide receiver for Ohio State.
In fact, Ohio State fans are already crowning Smith as the next elite playmaker for the Buckeyes.
“He’s special,” one fan tweeted.
Another fan wrote, “This is absurd.”

Ohio State head coach Ryan Day recently said Smith could end up starting as a freshman this fall. That’s how impressive the youngster has been this spring.
“If he continues on the path that he’s on, he’s going to play a lot of football and will certainly have a chance to start,” Day said, via Buckeyes Now. “I’m gonna be careful what I say, but he’s been certainly a pleasure to watch. And we are really excited about his future.”
Hopefully, Smith lives up to the hype.
