Ohio State’s defense for the 2024 season is going to be loaded with talent and experience.
On Wednesday afternoon, Ohio State cornerback Jordan Hancock announced that he’s returning for his senior season.
“Breaking News: Jordan Hancock will be returning for his senior year at Ohio State,” he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Hancock finished the 2023 season with 41 tackles, four passes defended, two sacks, two interceptions and a touchdown. It was by far the most productive year of his college career.

Hancock isn’t the only notable cornerback returning to Ohio State. Earlier today, Denzel Burke also revealed that he’s running it back with the Buckeyes.
“This was a hard decision but I’ve decided to return for my last year,” Burke said. “Theres no rush for me to go to the league. want to graduate and keep developing into an elite corner. I’m chasing greatness and my own legacy as a corner. I wanna spend this last year with my brothers and win a Championship.”
We’ll find out in the fall if Ohio State’s star-studded secondary has what it takes to lead the program to a Big Ten title.
