Four-star running back recruit Mark Fletcher has announced his commitment decision to join the Ohio State Buckeyes’ already-stacked 2023 recruiting class.
The No. 8 running back recruit in the nation (per 247Sports) announced his decision during an appearance with CBS Sports HQ on Tuesday.
“[Columbus] is just the first place I visited where I didn’t feel homesick,” Fletcher said. “I felt real comfortable. I got what they call ‘that feeling.’ I just knew that was the right place for me.”

Fletcher, a junior at American Heritage High School in Fort Lauderdale, received offers and interest from top programs all over the country. He selected Ryan Day’s Ohio State program over schools like Alabama, Penn State, Georgia, Miami and the Buckeyes’ arch-rival Michigan Wolverines.
Fletcher credits Ohio State running backs coach Tony Alford for swaying his final decision.
With the addition of Fletcher, Ohio State’s early 2023 recruiting class ranks No. 8 in the nation.
