The Buckeyes are cooking on the recruiting trail right now in the current and future cycles.

With tons of news to share, Thursday saw one of the busier days when it comes to Ohio State recruiting. Seeing the staff share hints of success regarding commitments on social media, it was twice that On3 recruiting designer Hayes Fawcett took to his own feed to further confirm what the Buckeyes have cooking.

Names to come possibly later today or perhaps this weekend, Ohio State’s month of June looks to be all they wanted it to be in terms of building their classes. With two more full weeks still to go, it’s exciting to think of what else could develop as the staff fights to build the top class in the country. Stay tuned!

Plenty of new offers go out after successful Thursday camp

Ohio State continues to always be looking for new names as they try to build their various recruiting classes. Evaluating any and every chance the staff can get, that’s the top priority when they host their own one-day camps on campus, and Thursday saw a ton of developments.

Double-digit offers sent out to new names in multiple recruiting cycles, the talent on hand in Columbus clearly was top notch. More likely to come, here’s some of the latest names to get the good news from Ohio State.

Valdin Sone (Dyke, Virginia/Blue Ridge School)

The No. 183 player nationally and the 23rd best defensive lineman per the 247Sports Composite for the 2026 class, the Buckeyes are late to the game with Sone, but made enough of an impact that he already has an official visit return trip set with Ohio State.

Mikahi Allen (Ramsey, New Jersey/Don Bosco Prep)

The No. 245 player nationally and the 16th best linebacker per the 247sports Composite in the 2027 class, Allen took home the offer from position coach James Laurinaitis on Thursday after a successful trip to Columbus. Now holding 12 offers to his name, the Buckeyes have another top defender they can zero in on.

Tai Phillips (Fayetteville, North Carolina/Cape Fear)

An unranked running back right now in the 2027 class, Tai Phillips was in Columbus on Thursday for the one-day position camp and did enough to turn heads on Ohio State’s staff. Now owning offers from Miami Ohio, Southern Miss, and Wake Forest to his name, the Buckeyes entering the mix top the list as his biggest offer to date, which may help gain him further attention from several others.

Kellan Hall (Louisville, Kentucky/Christian Academy)

A 6-foot-4, 235 pound defensive lineman, Hall is unranked in the 2028 class, but does have nearly 20 offers to his name. Schools such as Alabama, Kentucky, Michigan, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and several others are in the mix with Ohio State now in the fold. Sure to get a ranking boost when the time comes, this class of 2028 prospect is one the Buckeyes can spend time building a relationship with.

Emmanuel Moses (Baton Rouge, Louisiana/University Lab)

A 6-foot, 180 pound safety in the 2027 class, the Buckeyes offered Moses after a very impressive camp performance. Making some strong headway into Louisiana at the safety position thanks to current 2026 commit Blaine Bradford, this staff offering the Louisiana native before LSU certainly doesn’t hurt Ohio State’s chances.

Xavier Bala (Long Island, New York/St. Anthony’s)

The No. 354 player nationally and 26th best running back per the 247Sports Composite in the 2027 class, Bala was on-site Thursday for a camp performance and made it worth his while. Over 10 offers to his name, Carlos Locklyn adds Bala to his own list of guys to keep track of in the next cycle at his position.

Zayden Smith (Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania/Cumberland Valley)

A 6-foot-4, 200 pound athlete, Smith was another unranked 2027 prospect to see Ohio State on Thursday and he too turned heads enough to land the offer from the Buckeyes. His fourth offer to date, Ohio State joins Penn State, Syracuse, and Toledo to enter their name into the mix and more are sure to follow now that two of the bigger programs in the country are interested.

Miguel Whitley (New Orleans, Louisiana/St. Augustine)

Another Louisiana native to check out Ohio State on Thursday, Whitely was the next in line to leave with an offer in-hand after his impressive camp performance. The No. 212 player nationally and the 28th best receiver in the 2027 class per the 247Sports Composite, Ohio State joins nearly 20 other schools to be in the running.

Josiah Molden (West Linn, Oregon/West Linn)

The No. 142 player nationally and the 16th best cornerback in the 2027 class per the 247Sports Composite, Molden is one of the latest defensive backs to get Ohio State’s attention. With 15 other offers to his name, the Buckeyes join the likes of Notre Dame, Oregon, Washington, and USC to be in the hunt.

Ty Snell (Nashville, Tennessee/Lipscomb Academy)

As young of a prospect as you can get, quarterback Ty Snell impressed the Buckeyes yesterday with his performance at the one-day position camp. A class of 2029 product, Snell does not yet have a ranking due to his class status, but 10 other offers to his name shows he will be among the top signal callers in the country for his cycle when the rankings are updated.

Lukas Prock (Princeton, New Jersey/Hun School)

Another quarterback to impress the Ohio State staff on Thursday, 6-foot-2, 180 pound prospect Lukas Prock came away with the Buckeye offer. Joining the likes of Pitt and Syracuse, Ohio State getting involved here should start a domino effect for arguably the most important position in any recruiting class.

Quentin Burrell (Chicago, Illinois/Mount Carmel)

The No. 24 player nationally and sixth best receiver in the 2027 class, the Buckeyes didn’t wait any longer to show Burrell he has what it takes to play at Ohio State. Two other major targets in the mix for the Buckeyes in the 2027 cycle for the receiver spot, Hartline already has Jamier Brown committed and looks to want both Monshun Sales and now Quentin Burrell to round out the rest.

Brayden Parks (Chicago, Illinois/Brother Rice)

One more Chicago native for good measure, Ohio State also saw enough from Parks. The No. 234 player nationally and the 26th best defensive lineman in the 2027 class per the 247Sports Composite, the Buckeyes join nearly 35 others to have an offer extended for the 6-foot-3, 305 pound athlete.

Quick Hits

  • One of the to tight end prospects in the current 2026 class, Illinois native Mack Sutter took the latest step in his recruitment by announcing a top four schools he is still considering. The No. 80 player nationally and sixth best at his position per the 247Sports Composite, Sutter has been no stranger to Ohio State these past few weeks, and kept the Buckeyes firmly in the mix in addition to Alabama, Illinois, and Ole Miss.
