Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud is receiving a lot of love on social media this Saturday. That’s because he came out of the tunnel for the Buckeyes’ annual spring game wearing Dwayne Haskins’ jersey
The Buckeyes already announced that they would honor Haskins this Saturday in multiple ways, painting his initials on the field and sharing a video tribute at halftime.
That being said, Ohio State fans could help but get teary-eyed watching Stroud compete in Haskins’ jersey.
Stroud wears No. 7 just like Haskins did during his time at Ohio State. What they also share in common is that they both put up absurd numbers in their first year as the Buckeyes’ full-time starter.

Stroud commented on the loss of Haskins earlier this week. He had nothing but praise for the former Ohio State star.
“He wasn’t just a great performer. He was a great man of God. A great human being. He always wanted to see other people happy,” Stroud said, via ABC 6.
We’d imagine Stroud made Haskins proud with his gesture this Saturday afternoon.
