Ohio State Running Back’s Mom Shuts Down Transfer Rumor

March 27, 2024 by The Spun

After two stellar seasons at Ole Miss, running back Quinshon Judkins decided to head north and transferred to Ohio State.

But after only joining the program this month, there was a rumor started on social media that he was mulling a return to Oxford, Mississippi – a rumor that his mother promptly shut down.

Taking to X on Tuesday, Judkins mother Teva Judkins laughed at the notion that he would go back to Ole Miss. She declared that he wants to celebrate “losing the black stripe” and ended by stating “Go Bucks!”

“He wants to come back😂😂!?!? Can we celebrate losing the black stripe in peace! Go Bucks‼️‼️” Judkins wrote.

In two years for the Rebels, Judkins was nothing short of incredible. As a freshman in 2022, he had 1,567 yards and 16 rushing touchdowns en route to SEC Freshman of the Year and First-Team All-SEC honors.

This past year was another superb season for him as he rushed for 1,158 yards and another 15 touchdowns, earning All-SEC honors for the second year in a row.

But it remains to be seen if he’s going to be the feature back for the Buckeyes in 2024. Senior TreVeyon Henderson has averaged over six yards per carry in his career and averaged over 110 yards from scrimmage per game last year.

Then again, if head coach Ryan Day decides to deploy the two with an even split of carries, the Buckeyes could have the most dynamic one-two punch in all of college football.

What kind of role do you think Judkins will have in 2024?
