The Buckeyes continue to send out new offers staying active on the recruiting trail.
Brian Hartline has been tabbed the best position coach in the country, and rightfully so. Developing guys at an incredible rate, the Buckeyes have been the prime spot for players looking to get to the next level under Hartline’s leadership. With that, top players are lining up to play in this offense, and more times than not Ohio State is getting the guys they want.
Looking ahead, the Buckeyes are already taking note of players in the future cycles, and the 2028 class is now seeing a new offer coming by way of Brysen Wright.
A 6-foot-2, 200 pound Florida native, Wright is currently just a high school freshman but already has nearly 20 offers to his name. Schools such as Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, Tennessee, Texas, and others, the Buckeyes may be a little later to the party, but as mentioned, Hartline tends to get what he wants — especially in Florida.
Still plenty of time to go in this recruitment, the next steps will be getting Wright to campus. At any rate, he’s a name worth watching moving forward as the wizard gets to work showing exactly why Ohio State is the best place in the country to develop at the receiver position.

2026 cornerback gets the Ohio State nod with latest offer
Tim Walton is well on his way to another stellar recruiting class in the 2026 cycle. A little different method however, both in-state cornerback targets have chose to go elsewhere rather than stay home with the Buckeyes. With Victor Singleton committed to Texas A&M and Elbert Hill headed to USC, Ohio State has looked at other major targets to fill the gaps at the cornerback position.
While the fanbase has questioned these recruitments and have even gone as far as to be upset, the Buckeyes quickly calmed any nerves by landing Jordan Thomas earlier this week. That said, a new offer was dished out on Thursday proving this class is not yet done at the position, and the staff is open to looking at other prospects to bring in.
On the receiving end, Florida native Danny Odem shared the latest news in his recruitment. The No. 529 player nationally and the 43rd best cornerback per the 247Sports Composite, his ranking is not as high as some other Ohio State commits, but an impressive 50 offers from the likes of Clemson, Florida, Georgia, Miami, Oklahoma, Penn State, and several more tell you all you need to know about how abilities.
Being the current cycle, Ohio State will look to move rather quickly with this if Odem is a real possibility and if so, expect a visit in the coming weeks.

Quick Hits
- The No. 16 player nationally and top tight end in the country per the 247Sports Composite, Mater Dei product Mark Bowman updated his recruitment by narrowing things down to a list of just seven remaining programs.
Down to Georgia, Miami, Ole Miss, Oregon, Texas, USC, and Ohio State, the Buckeyes making the cut keeps them in the mix for now. Already having two Mater Dei commits in their 2026 class thanks to Chris Henry Jr. and Kayden Dixon-Wyatt, position coach Keenan Bailey would love nothing more than to add Bowman to the fold, but it will be no easy task from here.
