Ohio State is pushing all of its chips in for the 2024 season.
The program had a lot of players come in from the transfer portal and had numerous players return for one more year, including defensive tackle Tyleik Williams.
Williams is pumped for the upcoming season and thinks this Buckeyes defense has a chance to be legendary.
“I don’t want to hype our heads too much, but I look at it like a legendary defense,” Williams said, via Eleven Warriors. “We’ve got playmakers everywhere. The guys we brought back, we’re all dominant. So I feel like as a collective unit, we’re gonna be like unstoppable.”
Outside of Williams, the Buckeyes also have JT Tuimoloau, Denzel Burke, Davison Igbinosun, and Jordan Hancock returning on their defense. They also added Caleb Downs through the transfer portal.
They’re going to have sky-high expectations next season but based on Williams’ answer, he wouldn’t have it any other way.
The Buckeyes finished last season with an 11-2 record. They won their first 11 games before finishing the regular season with a loss against the Michigan Wolverines before losing in the Cotton Bowl against the Missouri Tigers.
