Ohio State has announced its new athletic director for this year and moving forward.
Ross Bjork will be OSU’s new AD starting Jul. 1.
“To be a part of Buckeye Nation, along with its storied traditions and long history of achievement, is a tremendous honor and a welcome challenge for me and our family. I can’t wait to get started,” Bjork said.

Bjork is currently the AD at Texas A&M and has held that position since May 2019. Before that, he was the AD at Ole Miss from 2012-19 and has also been the AD at Western Kentucky.
He’ll be taking over for Gene Smith, who is retiring after 18 seasons. He’ll be overseeing all of OSU’s athletics once he starts the role in July.
This move shows that OSU continues to be extremely serious about having the best collegiate sports programs in the country.
