On Friday night the Ohio State Buckeyes suffered their second straight defeat to end the 2023 college football season.
After taking a few weeks to get over the heartbreaking loss to Michigan, the Buckeyes laid an egg on the national stage against Missouri in the Cotton Bowl. Ohio State managed just three points on the night and left the stadium with a 14-3 loss to the Tigers.
With the latest loss, Ohio State continued its awful performance against teams from the SEC. The Buckeyes entered the game with a 2-12 all-time bowl record against the SEC, but added a 13th loss last night.

To add insult to injury, Missouri coach Eli Drinkwitz made it known the Tigers were the dominant team on Friday night.
“We scored 14 points in the fourth quarter! We put our fist up, and we said we’re not givin’ in!” he said. “We’re faster, stronger, tougher than you in the fourth quarter! And we got an elite edge, and we’re not gonna be denied! Now we’re the Cotton Bowl champs! M-I-Z!”
Ouch.
