Ohio State’s Denzel Burke Responds To Report Suggesting He’s Coming Back For 2024

A recent report indicated that Ohio State cornerback Denzel Burke would be returning to the team in 2024. That report was surprising to many – including Denzel Burke.

Earlier today 247Sports’ David Biddle reported that he was “told by a very good source” that Lathan Ransom, Burke and Jordan Hancock would be returning next season.”

Taking to X afterwards, Burke refuted the report Biddle that named him and the two other Buckeyes defensive backs that would be returning to Columbus next season.

“Ummmm never said this,” Burke wrote.

Granted, the report from Biddle only said that we should “look for” Burke to return, not that Burke told him personally.

Nevertheless, a statement like that would certainly indicate that Burke doesn’t want to get anyone’s hopes up. He’s a projected top 50 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, and that’s a proposition that may be too good to pass up.

Will Burke return to the Buckeyes next season?
