Ohio State formally introduced Ross Bjork as its new AD on Wednesday after his hire was announced on Tuesday.
During his introductory press conference, he took a question about Michigan and he is very aware of the rivalry between the two schools.
“Team up North. Is it the school up North, the team up North…Okay, it’s the team. Yes fully (aware),” Bjork said, (first transcribed by On3).
The fact that he’s not even calling Michigan by his actual name means he’s officially part of Ohio State.
Even though Bjork doesn’t officially become OSU’s new AD until July 1, he’s still more than ready to help the school beat Michigan in all sports, not just football. However, beating Michigan in football is a big deal and it’s something that hasn’t happened since 2019.
That will be something Bjork tries to fix once he takes over for Gene Smith.
