Person Who Died At Ohio Stadium On Sunday Has Been Identified

May 8, 2024 by The Spun

One person died this past Sunday at Ohio State’s commencement ceremony. They fell from the stands at Ohio Stadium.

The name and age of the victim were not immediately released. Tests had to be done to make sure they were properly identified.

On Tuesday morning, the Ohio community received an update on this tragedy.

According to George Shillcock of WOSU News, the Franklin County Coroner determined that it was Larissa Brady who passed away over the weekend. She was 53 years old.

“The Franklin County Coroner confirmed that 53-year-old Larissa Brady was the person who tragically died Sunday at Ohio State’s commencement. She was positively ID’d by fingerprints today,” Shillcock wrote on X. “No word on the manner of her death yet from OSUPD or the Coroner.”

Ohio State has not yet released a statement on this discovery, but perhaps that’ll happen very soon.

Roughly 55,000 people were at Ohio Stadium on Sunday. We can’t even imagine how traumatic this situation must have been for everyone involved.

Of course, our thoughts are with Brady’s family and friends at this time.
