Ohio State has been linked to a handful of quarterbacks over the past few weeks, such as Cam Ward, Dante Moore and Riley Leonard. On Monday, Pete Nakos of On3 provided an update on the Buckeyes’ search for a new signal-caller.
According to Nakos, there’s a lot of buzz surrounding Ohio State and Kansas State transfer Will Howard.
“Buy the buzz on Ohio State,” Nakos said. “I definitely think Will Howard and Ohio State have been in conversations. I can definitely see it coming together.”
Nakos pointed out that Ohio State has a need at quarterback, especially after losing Kyle McCord in the transfer portal.

Howard would give Ohio State a very experienced option at quarterback. He has 5,786 passing yards, 48 touchdowns and 25 interceptions in his college career.
Additionally, Howard would give the Buckeyes a serviceable athlete at quarterback. The Pennsylvania native had 351 yards and nine touchdowns on the ground this season.
As of now, Ohio State’s quarterback room consists of Devin Brown and Lincoln Kienholz.
