Daniel Jeremiah shared a pretty big development regarding this year’s receiver class in the NFL Draft.
Taking to social media to start the week, the NFL Network analyst and “Move the Sticks” podcast host said that he wouldn’t be surprised in the least if a wide receiver was drafted ahead of Ohio State All-American Marvin Harrison Jr.
“I wouldn’t be shocked if [Malik] Nabers ended up being the 1st WR off the board. I love [Marvin Harrison Jr.] and [Rome] Odunze but Nabers brings a different element,” Jeremiah tweeted. “It’ll come down to preference of style but I guarantee some teams will have Nabers at the top of the list.”
Harrison was projected by many pundits to be a top-three pick when he announced his decision to go pro. However, in a loaded 2024 class other talents have emerged as viable selections at the top of the first round.
Nabers has drawn comparisons to former LSU stars Justin Jefferson and Ja’Marr Chase and has even shown flashes of both of their skillsets according to talent evaluators.
It’s hard to go against MHJ’s NFL bloodlines and size/speed, route-running combination. But scouts seem to be pretty enamored with a lot of pass-catchers in this year’s cycle.
