Ohio State head coach Ryan Day has officially lost his patience with his defense this afternoon.
Oregon struck first during today’s game, as Anthony Brown led the Ducks on a 10-play, 99-yard touchdown drive in the second quarter. It was an inexcusable drive from the Buckeyes’ defense, especially since they had the Ducks backed up near their own end zone.
The Buckeyes clearly haven’t made the proper adjustments yet because they gave up another long touchdown drive in the second quarter. This time around, Ducks running back CJ Verdell led the charge on offense.
Shortly after Ohio State gave up a second touchdown to Oregon, Day was seen yelling at defensive coordinator Kerry Coombs. Obviously, he’s not pleased with the defense’s performance this afternoon.
Ryan Day just gave Kerry Coombs quite the ass chewing on the sideline.

Coombs’ defense struggled at times during Ohio State’s season opener, allowing Minnesota to rush for over 200 yards. Most of those issues from Week 1 have carried over to Week 2.
Luckily for Coombs, the Buckeyes have an entire half of football left to turn things around. It’s imperative that his defensive line finds a way to get pressure on Brown. He has been so dynamic as a passer and runner this afternoon.
