Things did not go as planned for Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl on Friday night.
Ohio State managed just three points against Missouri and lost by 11, 14-3. The Buckeyes were inept on offense even though their defense did everything to keep them in the game.
The struggles on offense has head coach Ryan Day a bit worried heading into the offseason after he said that “everything” will be looked at.
“Just fresh off the game, so it’s hard for me to process all of it right now. We’ve got to figure out what’s best for the team moving forward, and that’s in a lot of areas,” Day said, via Saturday Tradition. “We’ve got to take a hard look at that and get that figured out, but everything will be looked at.”
The biggest thing Day will have to figure out is the quarterback situation. The Buckeyes have Devin Brown coming back for next season but they didn’t get to see a lot from him this season since Kyle McCord started every regular season game before entering the transfer portal.
Lincoln Kienholz is also set to return but like Brown, is a big unknown.
2024 is setting up to potentially be a make-or-break year for Day, who has lost three straight times to Michigan.
