Columbus Clippers 1, Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp 2

Box Score · Clippers fall to 45-54

It was a tough day for the Clippers offensively, as they scored just one run on five hits. CJ Kayfus and George Valera both went 1-3.

Ryan Webb didn’t have a great outing as he gave up two runs in 2.2 innings and walked four batters. Parker Mushinski, Matt Krook, and Zak Kent combined for 3.1 scoreless innings of relief.

Akron RubberDucks 7, Erie Seawolves 3

Box Score · RubberDucks improve to 56-41

Cooper Ingle had a huge game today, going 3-5 and increasing his average to .272 with an OPS of .838. Jake Fox went 2-4 with an RBI single, and Tyresse Turner hit his first AA Home Run.

Dylan DeLucia had an OK outing. He allowed three runs in 5.1 innings while both walking and striking out three batters. His ERA since being promoted to AA is 2.72. Steven Perez, Alaska Abney, and Matt Jachec combined for 3.2 scoreless innings of relief.

Lake County Captains 3, Wisconsin Timber Rattlers 1

Box Score · Captains improve to 53-45

Christian Knapczyk went 1-4 with 2 RBIs and a double, Alfonsin Rosario went 1-4, and Jaison Chourio went 1-3 with a BB.

Josh Hartle continues to show that he deserves a promotion to AA Akron. He tossed six shutout innings with three strikeouts and one walk. His ERA is down to 2.75 on the season.

Lynchburg Hillcas 2, Salem Red Sox 1

Box Score · Hillcats improve to 54-42

17 Year Old Juneiker Caceres made his Low-A debut. He went 2-4 with a double. This is definitely a prospect to get excited about, he was absolutely dominant in the DSL and ACL and has a gorgeous swing. Welbyn Francisca went 1-3 with a BB, Jeffrey Mercedes went 1-4 with a 2 RBI double.

Rafe Schlesinger had one of the best outings of his career! He tossed five scoreless outings while striking out 8 batters! His ERA is down to 3.43 on the season and he deserves a promotion to High-A Lake County!
