Cubs 5, Guardians 4; Bibee Battles Command Issues

Offense not enough as Bibee (and Rocchio) struggle.

Kidding. Can’t wait for Arias to come back. I cannot stand watching Rocchio play and today gave me even more reminders of why that is.

Costly defensive miscues led to Bibee having a far worse outing than he should’ve.

At least we got some spread out offense tonight. We were so lucky as to get scoring in THREE different innings… and in the same game!!!

Our “lefty killers” woke up today. 3 HRs from the bunch.

Allard gave you 3 quality scoreless innings, and Herrin struggled with some more control issues. Walked Tucker, Vogt intentionally walked Seiya Suzuki, and then he walked PCA. After the bases were loaded, Gaddis was brought in, and he got Dansby to pop out to left.

Good that Gaddis was able to get out of the inning safely.

There was some late excitement in the 9th as Martinez reached on error and Naylor (pinch hit for Rocchio) walked after an excellent at-bat. Passed ball let both runners advance, and Kwan drove in Martinez on a sac fly. Manzardo flew out to end the game

This team isn’t very good, but at least they made it interesting toward the end.
