Cleveland loses the Ohio Cup
It was a disappointing performance from the Guardians offense today as they could only muster up one run on a solo HR from Daniel Schneemann. They had 8 hits combined they were all singles outside of the Schneemann HR. The offense has seemingly been in a bit of a rut since that Nationals series, hopefully they can break out of it soon.
The big positive today was the fact that Slade Cecconi looked absolutely electric in his Guardians debut. He struck out 8 batters and walked zero in 5 innings pitched and rendered 15 swings and misses, which lead the entire MLB on Saturday! It can’t be overstated how incredible it would be for the Guardians if Cecconi is able to continue to pitch the way he did today.

It will be Luis Ortiz vs Andrew Abbott for Game 3 against the Reds tomorrow at 1:40 pm ET. I’m excited to watch Ortiz and see if he can have back to back good outings!
