The Guardians have lost two games to the Astros and their hitting looks horrendous. Happy Sunday, everyone.
They have to at least swap Jhonkensy Noel (who has a wRC+ of 4) for Johnathan Rodríguez at this point. I realize they probably want to wait for Lane Thomas. Too bad.
Also, Will Wilson now has a 92 wRC+ vs LHP (1 wRC+ vs RHP), is striking out 37.5% of the time. I can accept him being on the roster if necessary as an emergency-basis player, but if Vogt is determined to give every player like 4-6 plate appearances each series, they need to put Brayan Rocchio on the team again and put Angel Martinez in Wilson’s role. Now.
