MiLB Recap

April 25, 2025 by Lets Go Tribe

Cleveland Guardians minor league recap for Thursday April 24, 2025

Columbus Clippers 1, Lehigh Valley IronPigs 2

Box Score · Clippers fall to 12-9

It was a tough day for the Clippers offensively, as a team they only had 4 hits combined. Johnathan Rodriguez went 1-3 with a BB.

Ryan Webb had a solid start, allowing just one run in 4.2 innings pitched. He walked three batters but also struck out six, his ERA is sitting at 3.38 on the season.

Akron RubberDucks 4, Richmond Flying Squirrels 0

Box Score · RubberDucks improve to 11-6

CJ Kayfus, Cooper Ingle, Kahlil Watson, and Joe Lampe all went 1-4. Alex Mooney and Jake Fox both went 1-3.

Austin Peterson had a brilliant start, continuing to prove why he should be promoted to Columbus. He went six innings, striking out five and walking one, while not allowing a single run. His ERA this season is now down to 0.90.

Lake County Captains 4, Great Lakes Loons 0

Box Score · Captains improve to 10-7

Alfonsin Rosario is starting to become one of my favorite prospects in the entire organization. He went 2-4 tonight with another HR. He is now hitting .327 with a 1.021 OPS on the season. He has some swing and miss, but the bat speed is electric and he’s a really good athlete too. Jaison Chourio went 1-2 with 2 BBs and his first HR of the season.

Michael Kennedy pitched very well against a really good Great Lakes lineup. He pitched 5 scoreless innings, striking out six batters. Dylan Delucia threw 4 scoreless innings in relief and struck out four batters.

Lynchburg Hillcats 9, Fayetteville Woodpeckers 7

Box Score · Hillcats improve to 11-6

Welbyn Francisca went 2-5 with a BB and a ground rule double. Luis Merejo went 1-3 with 2 BBs a HR. His OPS is up to .883 despite his AVG only being at .200.

Jogly Garcia continued his phenomenal season. He allowed no earned runs and struck out 7 batters but walked 5 in 3 innings. His ERA is down to 0.64 on the season.
