Columbus Clippers (40-42) – AAA
TOL 5 – COL 1
More bad news from Columbus. Other than the disappointing loss to the Mud Hens, Juan Brito injured himself running to first base in the first inning. With an apparent leg/hamstring issue, he pulled up limping and had to be lifted from the game. No updates have been posted at this time.
The Clippers sole run came in the bottom of the fourth. Will Wilson hit a lead off double to center. Jhonkensy Noel flied out to right allowing Wilson to advance to third. Kody Huff hit a sac fly for the second out, scoring Wilson.
Chase DeLauter hit a single but otherwise went 1-for-4. DeLauter’s on base streak extended to 30 games with his single. Will Wilson went 1-for-4 with a run and a double. Kody Huff went 1-for-2 with a RBI and a walk.
Will Dion took the L, throwing 4.1 innings with 5H, 3R/ER, 3BB, and 4K. Nick Mikolajchak went 1.2IP, 2H, 2R/ER, 0BB, 0K. Matt Krook threw 1.1IP, 1H, 0R/ER, 1BB, 2K. Parker Mushinski went 1.2IP, 1H, 0R/ER, 0BB, 3K.
Akron RubberDucks (50-28) – AA
ERI 2 – AKR 0
The RubberDucks dropped one against the SeaWolves as the two teams battle for first place in the EAS Southwest.
With the paltry offense, the only real highlight came in the top of the fifth when Dayan Frias made a great catch to retire the side.

Lynchburg Hillcats (48-31) – Low A

Cam Walty went 3.0IP, allowing 5H, 3R/2ER. The unearned run came from a throwing error by the catcher Bennett Thompson in the top of the third. Logan McGuire earned his third win, now 3-3 on the season. He went 2.0IP, 2H, and 2K.
