Cleveland Guardians minor league recap for Thursday, June 5, 2025

Columbus Clippers 5, Toledo Mud Hens 2

Box Score · Clippers improve to 24-32

Petey Halpin went 1-4 with a 109 EV double. He continues to have a really impressive season after being put on the 40 man roster. Brayan Rocchio went 1-4 with a double, and Yordys Valdes went 1-3 with a HR.

Aaron Davenport continues to struggle after his AAA promotion. He was able to limit the damage to just one run in 4 innings but walked five batters and struck out just two.

Akron RubberDucks 2, Chesapeake Baysox 4

Box Score · RubberDucks fall to 35-18

It was a tough night offensively for the RubberDucks, as they combined for just 3 hits. Guy Lipscomb went 1-4 with an RBI single.

Carter Spivey had a good outing, he allowed just one run in 6 innings with five strikeouts to just one walk.

Lake County Captains 4, West Michigan Whitecaps 1

Box Score · Captains improve to 26-27

It was a huge night for Ralphy Velazquez, he’s really starting to heat up after a slow start. He went 2-4 with a HR and a triple, and is now up to a .711 OPS on the season. Jonah Advincula went 3-4 with a 2 run HR and a solo HR.

Dylan Delucia had one of the best outing of his career, as he struck out 8 batters in 5 scoreless innings against a really talented lineup that includes two of the top 10 prospects in baseball in Max Clark and Kevin McGonigle.

Lynchburg Hillcats 2, Salem Red Sox 1

Box Score · Hillcats improve to 32-21

The Hillcats combined for just two hits tonight but it was enough to win! Welbyn Francisca went 1-4 and continues to rebound from his rough first month.

Rafe Schlesinger had one of the best starts of his career as he didn’t allow a single earned run in 4.2 innings pitched and struck out four batters to just one walk.

ACL Guardians 16, ACL Dodgers 15

Box Score · Guardians improve to 14-11

It was a huge night offensively for the ACL Guardians led by top international singing Robert Arias who has played really well this season. He went 2-5 with a walk and is now hitting .295 with an .888 OPS. Johan Rodriguez went 2-5 with a walk and 2 RBIs.

Joey Oakie had another rough outing as he could not make it out of the first innings. He was able to rack up 3 strikeouts but also walked 2 and gave up 3 runs.
