Morning N&N for June 11
Fresh off of getting put on notice in the media, Guardian hitters squared off against Andrew Abbott last night. A month ago, they couldn’t score off AA despite notching 4 hits, 3 walks and 1 HBP in 5 innings. They responded by not being able to score in 9 innings.
The front office will respond by… changing absolutely nothing. And we’ll continue to watch hittable pitch after hittable pitch… not get hit.

• …and optioned Heston Kjerstad to AAA. Kjerstad, a former top prospect who countless fanbases have lusted over, has been unable to hit the baseball even in an organization known for recently developing hitters. Baseball is very hard.
• …and DFA’d Emmanuel Rivera. Watch out for the Reds here, whose manager spoke glowingly of him a handful of springs ago.
