Cleveland Guardians minor league recap for Sunday, June 8, 2025
Columbus Clippers 2, Toledo Mud Hens 1
Box Score · Clippers improve to 26-33
It was a good day for the Guardians top prospects in Columbus. Chase DeLauter went 1-3 with a walk. His hit was a single that came off the bat at 104.6 MPH. He also had a lineout that came off the bat at 106.7 MPH. His slash line does not look great on the surface, but he is definitely hitting the ball well right now, he is just having some bad luck. CJ Kayfus went 2-4 with a triple that came off the bat at 106.5 MPH. He is hitting .311 with a .921 OPS in AAA. Milan Tolentino went 2-3 with a HR, and Yordys Valdes went 2-4 with a double.
Ryan Webb started the game but was replaced by Will Dion after giving up one run in the first inning. Will Dion threw 4 scoreless innings while striking out two and walking two. Franco Aleman got the save and looked fantastic as he struck out two batters and nearly touched 99 mph. He could be an option for the Guardians here soon as he looks like he is fully healthy now.
Franco Aleman certainly looks healthy. Just missed touching 99 here. pic.twitter.com/t3WYt3lyPC

Josh Hartle continues to look like an absolute steal in that trade with the Pirates. He went 6 innings, struck out five and walked just one. His ERA is down to 3.10 on the season.
That was a VERY bat worthy flip homer by Alfonsin Rosario.
