The Cleveland Cavaliers announced that Evan Mobley will miss 2-4 weeks due to a left calf strain. Mobley was injured during the Cavaliers victory over the Washington Wizards on Friday.
Mobley has appeared in 25 of Cleveland’s first 26 games this season. The 6-foot-11 forward/center has averaged career-best 19.1 points and 4.1 assists per game. Mobley has also averaged 9.3 rebounds, 1.6 blocks and a steal per game.
This is the latest injury to hit Cleveland this year. The Cavs have been without starting wing Max Strus all season, as he recovers from a fractured foot. Jarrett Allen and Sam Merrill are currently out for Cleveland with finger and hand injuries, respectively. Larry Nance Jr. is also shelved with a calf injury of his own. In addition, Darius Garland and De’Andre Hunter have missed time this season with injuries.
