The older brother of Cleveland Browns linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, Joshua Emmanuel Owusu-Koramoah, was found dead in his Hampton, Virginia home on Tuesday.
The Hampton Police and the Division of Fire and Rescue said there were signs of a house fire when they arrived on the scene, but are still investigating the cause of death. They’ve since opened a homicide investigation.
The elder Owusu-Koramoah was just 23 years old.
JOK just finished his first NFL season with the Cleveland Browns after he was selected with a second-round pick in the 2021 draft. The 22-year-old linebacker played his college ball at Notre Dame.
The elder Owusu-Koramoah was a linebacker as well — suiting up for William and Mary in 2017-18. He was a three-sport athlete during his time at Bethel High School and was working as a science teacher at Hampton Christian High School, according to initial reports from The Virginian-Pilot.
Our thoughts are with the Owusu-Koramoah family through this difficult time.
